How to Use the Email Template Library and Designer in MailNexus
A good template saves time, keeps tone consistent, and reduces formatting errors. MailNexus includes an email template library plus a dedicated editor so you can start from a proven structure and customize it for your audience.
This guide explains how to browse templates, preview them, and tailor them inside the editor—without overpromising results.
1. Browse the template library
You can explore templates here:
- /templates
Each template has a title, short description, and tags. Use this page when you want inspiration or a quick starting point.
2. Preview a template
Templates can be previewed before you commit. Use the Preview action to check the layout and structure.
What to look for:
- Section order (hero, body, CTA, footer)
- Visual balance between text and whitespace
- Whether the structure fits your goal (outreach, update, support, etc.)
3. Start from a template
Once you’ve found a good fit, choose Use Template. This opens the template in the editor so you can adjust the content and layout.
4. Customize in the editor
Inside the editor, you can:
- Replace copy with your own messaging
- Adjust layout blocks to fit your content
- Fine‑tune spacing, structure, and emphasis
If you need to switch templates or explore more options while editing, open the Templates panel in the editor and browse directly inside the workspace.
5. Keep your templates consistent
Templates are most valuable when they’re reusable. A few best practices:
- Keep headings and CTA text consistent with your brand voice
- Use the same layout for recurring email types
- Store your most-used templates for faster access
This approach is especially useful for distributed teams across different regions and time zones, where consistency matters more than individual writing styles.
6. Export carefully
When your template is ready, export it in the format you need. If you’re using HTML, always test in your most important email clients before sending widely.
Common questions
Can I preview a template before using it? Yes. The preview lets you check the layout without opening the editor.
Can I start from a template inside the editor? Yes. The editor includes a Templates panel so you can search, preview, and apply templates without leaving your workspace.
Does using a template guarantee better results? No. Templates help with structure and consistency, but outcomes still depend on your audience, offer, and timing.
